Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old (in the United States) or 18 years old (in India) to use the Service. If you are under 18 (in the United States), you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service.

By creating an account with The Lord's Voice, you expressly consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data as described in this section and our Privacy Policy.

By tapping “Create Account,” “Sign Up,” or by continuing to use the Service after registration, you confirm that:

Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or contain false information.

When choosing a display name, you agree that it must:

Comply with our community guidelines

We reserve the right to reject or remove display names that violate these guidelines.

Subscriptions and Payments

Beta Version Notice

The Lord's Voice is currently in Beta. During this period:

We are actively developing and refining features based on user feedback
The app may contain bugs or incomplete features
Service availability may be occasionally interrupted for updates and improvements
We appreciate your patience and feedback as we work to improve the experience

Free and Premium Tiers

The Lord's Voice offers both free and paid tiers:

Free Tier: Full access to all app features including daily verses, prayers, kindness actions, and the “How Are You Feeling Today?” mood feature. The free tier is supported by advertisements displayed within the app via Google AdMob.
Premium Tier: Enjoy the complete ad-free experience. Premium subscribers receive all the same features as free users without any advertisements.

Future Changes to Features

Important: Some features that are currently available for free may become Premium-only features in the future as we continue to develop the app. We will provide advance notice before any such changes take effect. If you are a free user at the time of such a change:

You will receive notification of the upcoming change via the app or email
You will have the option to upgrade to Premium to retain access to those features
Core features such as daily Bible verses will always remain available to free users

We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time. Any significant changes to the free/Premium feature structure will be communicated to users in advance.

What Premium Currently Includes

By upgrading to Premium, you receive:

Complete removal of all advertisements
Support for the continued development of The Lord's Voice
Priority access to new features as they are released during Beta

Note: All core spiritual features — daily verses, prayers, kindness actions, and mood-based content — are currently available to both Free and Premium users. Premium is primarily for an ad-free experience, though additional Premium-exclusive features may be introduced in the future.

Subscription Terms

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan)
Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period
Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated in these Terms

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Upon cancellation:

You will continue to have ad-free access until the end of your current billing period
After your subscription expires, you will return to the free tier with advertisements
If Premium-exclusive features exist at the time of cancellation, you will lose access to those features

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next subscription period following notice to you. During the Beta period, pricing may be adjusted as we finalize our subscription model.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through RevenueCat and your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We do not store your payment card information on our servers.

Nature of the Service

The Lord's Voice provides spiritually inspired content, including Bible verses and AI-generated prayers, in response to user-provided mood input. This content is intended solely for personal spiritual encouragement and reflection.

Mental Health Disclaimer

The Lord's Voice is not a licensed mental health provider, crisis service, therapist, or medical professional. Nothing within the application — including AI-generated prayers, Bible verses, or any other content — constitutes medical advice, psychological counselling, or crisis intervention.

Verse and prayer content is provided for inspirational purposes only. Bible verses are sourced from the World English Bible (WEB), which is in the public domain. AI-generated prayers are produced by automated systems and do not represent the views of any individual pastor, clergy member, or religious organization.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Infringe upon the rights of others
Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
Impersonate any person or entity
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our permission
Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our consent
Collect or harvest user information without consent
Submit inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content through the mood feature
Attempt to circumvent or manipulate the advertising system
Engage in any activity that could damage our reputation or goodwill

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violations of these guidelines.

Content and Intellectual Property

Our Content

The Service and its original content (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software) are owned by The Lord's Voice and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Bible Verses and Scripture

Bible verses displayed in the Service are sourced from the World English Bible (WEB), which is in the public domain. We make every effort to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that all content is error-free.

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service. By submitting content (including mood text), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process such content for the purpose of providing the Service.

Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by us without any obligation to you.

AI-Generated Content

Certain content in the Service, including daily verse interpretations, reflections, and prayers generated in response to your mood, may be generated or enhanced using artificial intelligence technology.

Nature of AI Content

AI-generated content is intended for inspirational and educational purposes only
AI content should not be considered theological doctrine or professional spiritual guidance
We review AI-generated content but cannot guarantee it is free from errors or omissions
Prayers are generated by GPT-4o mini (OpenAI) and mood classification is performed by Claude (Anthropic)

Mood-Based AI Content

By using the “How Are You Feeling Today?” feature, you acknowledge that:

Prayers generated by The Lord's Voice are produced by AI and are intended as a spiritual starting point, not as authoritative theological guidance
The Lord's Voice encourages users to supplement in-app content with personal prayer, Scripture study, and engagement with their local faith community
Your mood input is processed by third-party AI services solely for the purpose of generating a relevant verse and prayer response
Mood data is not used for advertising, profiling, or shared with third parties for any other purpose

Your Responsibility

You acknowledge that AI-generated content is provided “as is” and you should exercise your own judgment when applying it to your life. For spiritual guidance or counseling, we encourage you to consult with qualified religious leaders or counselors.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF CONTENT.

BETA VERSION: THE SERVICE IS CURRENTLY IN BETA AND MAY CONTAIN BUGS, ERRORS, OR INCOMPLETE FEATURES. BY USING THE BETA VERSION, YOU ACCEPT THAT THE SERVICE MAY NOT FUNCTION AS INTENDED AND THAT FEATURES MAY CHANGE OR BE REMOVED WITHOUT NOTICE.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
Any errors in the Service will be corrected

Features available during Beta will remain free or available in future versions

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LORD'S VOICE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:

Your use or inability to use the Service
Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Service
Any errors or omissions in any content, including AI-generated content
Any reliance on spiritual content in lieu of professional mental health care
Any advertisements displayed within the Service

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100 USD), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Lord's Voice and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

Your access to or use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of another party
Any content you submit through the Service
Any reliance on the Service's content for mental health or crisis situations

Termination

By You

You may terminate your account at any time by discontinuing use of the Service and requesting account deletion through the app or by contacting us at arejay.us@gmail.com.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days (subject to our data retention policies and legal requirements)
If you had an active Premium subscription, you may continue ad-free access until the end of your current billing period
Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive (including indemnification, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution)

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at arejay.us@gmail.com. We will try to resolve the dispute within 30 days.

Binding Arbitration (United States)

If you are located in the United States and we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you and The Lord's Voice agree to resolve any claims through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify.

Jurisdiction (India)

If you are located in India, any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, India.

Class Action Waiver

YOU AND THE LORD'S VOICE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

For users located in India, these Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of India to the extent applicable, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Lord's Voice regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms and updating the “Last Updated” date. For significant changes, we may require you to re-accept the Terms. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Changes During Beta

During the Beta period, we may make more frequent changes to the Service, including:

Adding, modifying, or removing features
Changing which features are available to Free vs. Premium users
Adjusting subscription pricing
Updating these Terms and Privacy Policy

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes, but some updates may occur without advance notice during the Beta period.
