- Mood Data: Free-text descriptions of your emotional state when using the “How Are You Feeling Today?” feature (up to 200 characters)
Information Collected Automatically
When you use our Service, we automatically collect certain information:
- Device Information: Device type (phone, tablet), device model, operating system and version, screen resolution, and device language settings
- Usage Information: Features you use, pages you view, actions you take within the app, kindness streak data, and interaction patterns
- Location Information: Approximate location derived from your IP address (city/country level only). We do not collect precise GPS location data
- Session Information: Session identifiers, timestamps, and app version
- Push Notification Token: If you enable push notifications, we collect your device's push token to deliver notifications
- Error Data: Crash reports and error logs to help us improve the Service
Mood Feature Data
When you use the “How Are You Feeling Today?” feature:
- Your mood text is processed by third-party AI services (Microsoft Azure, Anthropic, OpenAI) solely to generate a relevant Bible verse and prayer
- Mood text is transient — it is not stored in your user profile
- Mood text is not linked to a persistent user identifier when transmitted to AI services
- Mood text is never used for advertising, profiling, or model training
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and Maintain the Service: Create and manage your account, deliver daily verses and prayers, track your kindness streaks, and provide personalized spiritual content
- Process Transactions: Handle subscription payments and manage your subscription status through RevenueCat
- Communicate with You: Send service-related notifications, respond to inquiries, and provide customer support
- Send Push Notifications: Deliver daily verse reminders, kindness action prompts, birthday prayers, and other notifications you have opted into
- Display Advertisements: Show relevant ads to free tier users through Google AdMob
- Improve Our Service: Analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and develop new features
- Personalize Your Experience: Customize content based on your preferences and usage patterns
- Ensure Safety and Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service

Advertising
Free Tier Users
If you use The Lord's Voice on the free tier, you will see advertisements within the app powered by Google AdMob.
Information Collected by Google AdMob:
- Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
- Device information (type, model, operating system)
- IP address and approximate location
- App usage and interaction data
- Ad interaction data (views, clicks)
Purpose:
- To display relevant advertisements
- To measure ad performance and effectiveness
- To prevent fraud and ensure ad quality
Your Choices:
- Upgrade to Premium: Enjoy a completely ad-free experience with no ad-related data collection
- Limit Ad Tracking: You can limit ad personalization through your device settings:
- iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking
- Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization

We do not share your personal account information (name, email, mood data) with Google AdMob. Ad-related data collection is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Premium Users
Premium subscribers do not see advertisements. No advertising-related data is collected from Premium users' devices.

Data Retention

- Account information: Until account deletion + 30 days

- Mood text: Session only (not stored)
- Payment records: As required by law (typically 7 years)
- Error logs: 90 days
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or security purposes.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

- Secure authentication via Firebase Authentication
- Regular security assessments
